On Tuesday, the after school program went on a hike up to the Pinnacle in West Stewartstown with Mrs Norsworthy, Mr. Gray, Ms. Aldridge, and Ms. Phillbrook. Though it may have been a little damp, it did not dampen anyone’s spirit and fun!
Grades 1-3 had lots of fun making pumpkin head rice crispy treats during the after school program.

Grades 4-6 students enjoyed making chocolate chip cookies from scratch. They practiced good kitchen etiquette, measuring ingredients, mixing batter, portioning into similar sized cookies, clean up, and teamwork. They enjoyed eating their cookies the most! Delicious! Students in grades 4-6 solved puzzle games and played Jenga. Good times!
Grades 1-3 made their own matching cards with a forest animal theme. Then they played memory games against each other. It was very competitive and fun! Each student got to keep the set of matching cards they made to play with their family at home.
After School programing started and grades 1-3 made Lego marble mazes. Great job.

Just a FYI please remember that school pictures are Sept. 20 during school. Come and dress great for that once in a lifetime picture that you will never forget. Make sure you have a picture form filled out if you are ordering from Whipple's Studio.
Chess club at Canaan Schools will be starting Sept. 11, 2023 @ Canaan School library from 3 pm - 4 pm every Monday of the school year. Frank Sawicki is the coach and it will be for 3rd grade - 12th grade, parents and guardians are more than welcome to come observe and even learn chess also.

Dillon, from GearUp, brought some mobile robots for my Geometry students to practice geometry they have learned by programming distances, angles, and speeds to launch a ball into a box. Good job Ms. Aldridge.
