School Closings and Delays
Essex North Supervisory Union uses the Blackboard Connect notification system to send emergency messages via phone, email, and text messaging.
Student Support Services
Student Support Services oversees the initiation and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans for all students residing within the Essex North Supervisory Union, including Canaan Schools, NEK Choice, and Unified Towns and Gores. Our area of responsibility includes child find, initial evaluations, service coordination and delivery, maintaining all legal documents, and ensuring that each student's needs are met.

We use the Thrillshare system that connects to Alma to contact our families in the event of school delays and closings. This system relies on the accuracy of information in our student information system. To help us keep these records accurate, please contact us with any changes to a student's phone and email records.
